The Position

Monsoon restaurant, since over 15 years, is a well known and established Italian Seafood Restaurant by the Coast of Mombasa, in Mtwapa, Kilifi South. Monsoon is a day restaurant, closing late afternoon and we do not open the evening for dinner.

We are looking for a PROFESSIONAL, EXPERIENCED HOSTESS/WAITRESS with excellent communication skills, you will greet and welcome customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend wines and menu items, prepare basic cocktails and serve beverages and food.


Responsibilities

Monsoon restaurant, since over 15 years, is a well known and established Italian Seafood Restaurant by the Coast of Mombasa, in Mtwapa, Kilifi South. Monsoon is a day restaurant, closing late afternoon and we do not open the evening for dinner.

We are looking for a PROFESSIONAL, EXPERIENCED HOSTESS/WAITRESS with excellent communication skills, you will greet and welcome customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend wines and menu items, prepare basic cocktails and serve beverages and food.


The duties and responsibilities will include: taking bookings, welcome and seating guests, taking guest orders, communicating them effectively to the kitchen and in addition, memorizing the menu and offering recommendations to upsell appetizers, desserts, or drinks.

Qualifications

You should have friendly personalities and good customer service skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent English a must while other foreign language spoken will be considered an advantage.

You MUST have matured previous experiences in international standard restaurant or touristic resorts, diploma and certificates from accredited tourism hospitality institution and knowledge of fioreign language will be considered.
