2Fish Restaurant deals in the delivery of cooked meals particularly fish meals within Nairobi. It is located in Kilimani and does delivery to customers via 3rd party apps such as Uber Eats, Glovo, Jumia and Bolt as well as walk-in customers to the restaurant. We however do not have dine in options at the establishment.

Job Summary

The Head Chef will primarily work towards running the kitchen and deliver creative & memorable culinary experiences for the restaurant’s clientele.

  • Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant and kitchen and ensuring that all food served meets the highest quality standards

  • Prepare proper recipe costing for all menu items

  • Ensures all food meets the highest quality standards and is served on time

  • Design standard recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation that ensures consistent and high quality dishes; exercise portion control for all items served and assists in establishing selling prices

  • Ability to produce a high volume of work in a timely manner without compromising on quality of meals.

  • Good knowledge of hygiene and sanitization regulations.

  • Performing administrative tasks, taking stock of food and equipment supplies, and doing purchase orders.

  • Hire, train, manage and monitor performance standards for staff.

  • Reviewing staffing levels to meet service, operational, and financial objectives.

  • Obtaining feedback on food and service quality, and handling customer problems and complaints.

  • Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimised kitchen processes

  • Charismatic and mature individual.A well-groomed and presentable individual with outstanding communication skills



Qualifications

  • Diploma in Food & Beverage Production or a related field of study

  • 5 years experience in preparation of Continental, Oriental, and African dishes

  • Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant
