Job Brief

These team is responsible for greeting guests at the front door or curb upon arrival. Escorts arriving and departing guests in a friendly, courteous manner to and from their accommodations, transporting their luggage, acquaint each guest with room and features and to provide guests with immediate needs upon arrival.

They are responsible for increasing customer satisfaction by providing efficient, prompt, trouble free and courteous service connected with arriving, in-house and departing guests. The function should be supportive, proactive, analytical and entrepreneurial; creating memorable experiences for our guests and fostering an empowered environment for the team. They should be able to work closely with all key business partners in order to achieve quality results. The job incumbent acts as a brand ambassador for the hotel, reflecting the company culture and values.

  • Offer consistently professional, friendly, warm and engaging service

  • Ensure guests are greeted appropriately upon arrival in a warm manner

  • Open car doors for arriving and departing guests and escort them to the lobby

  • Control all guest car keys and ensure that cars are delivered within 10 minutes upon guest request

  • Forward all guest complaints or problems to the manager on duty

  • Ensure that an effective handover is made between duty shifts

  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of the hotel’s policies and procedures and service standards and have full knowledge of the hotel facilities and happenings at all times

  • Establish, promote and maintain good public relation while meeting or exceeding guest expectations

  • Carrying and labelling guests’ luggage with tags

  • Sweeping and mopping floors and vacuum carpets

  • Ensuring building entrance is free of clutter at all times

  • Report damages, call technicians and monitor repairs

  • Comply with health and safety regulations

  • Follow evacuation rules in case of emergencies

Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in Tourism/Hotel Management or its equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience, preferably in a luxury hotel environment
  • Good understanding of the hotel as well as scenic attractions to recommend to guests upon receiving requests for the same
  • Guest services experience
  • Proven track record in a similar role
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office application
  • Highly organized, ability to be flexible and proven skills working in an environment with constant standing and walking throughout the shift
  • Ability to deal efficiently with complaints exhibiting a solid customer service approach
