Description
The Regional Sales Representative is a field-based role focused on driving sales growth within an assigned region. The role involves building and managing distributor networks, expanding market reach, and maintaining strong customer relationships. It requires frequent travel, regular outlet visits, and active engagement in the market. The ideal candidate is self-driven, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently while identifying opportunities for growth.


Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Regional Sales Representative will drive sales performance within an assigned region

through field engagement, distributor development, and customer relationship management.

TERRITORY & WORK STRUCTURE


• Coverage: Defined counties/towns within assigned region

• Field Time: 80–90%

• Office/Admin: 10–20%

• Travel: Frequent (daily field movement required)


KEY OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE


• Achieve consistent sales growth

• Build distribution network

• Ensure product availability

• Develop strong relationships

• Provide market intelligence


SCOPE OF WORK / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


A. Sales Execution

• Achieve monthly revenue and volume targets

• Drive repeat orders from customers

B. Distribution Development

• Identify and onboard:

o Wholesalers

o Sub-distributors

o Retailers

• Build and manage distributor relationships

• Ensure consistent stock movement

C. Market Expansion

• Map territory (key towns, outlets, routes)

• Open new outlets weekly

• Expand geographic coverage

D. Field Execution

• Conduct 30–40 outlet visits per week

• Ensure:

o Product visibility

o Proper placement

o Stock availability

E. Market Intelligence

• Track competitor:

o Pricing

o Products

o Promotions

• Provide:

o Customer feedback

o Market gaps

o Opportunities

F. Reporting

Submit:

• Daily activity reports

• Weekly performance summary

• Monthly territory review


QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma/Degree in Business or related field

• +2 years sales experience

• Valid driving licence

• Regional Sales Manager

• Progression can occur within 6–12 months for top performers
