Description
To deliver high-quality teaching and assessment through lectures, seminars, and supervision, while
providing academic leadership in curriculum development, student evaluation, and learning
strategies, supporting student success, and fostering effective relationships with internal and
external stakeholders to advance the Institute’s academic objectives.


Qualifications and Requirements
i. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BScN) or its equivalent, in an institution recognized by the

Nursing Council of Kenya.

ii. Higher Diploma in Critical Care Nursing in an institution recognized by the Nursing Council

of Kenya.

iii. A Master's degree in Nursing will be an added advantage.

iv. At least three (3) years work experience in Critical Care Nursing.

v. Registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya.

vi. Valid practice license from the Nursing Council of Kenya

vii. Proficiency in computer applications.

viii. Compliance with Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya



Responsibilities
i. Teach and examine courses through lectures, seminars and supervision.
ii. Provide leadership in the development of appropriate syllabuses, resources, marking

policies, assessment and learning strategies in the Institute.

iii. Deliver lectures and monitor student progress during training, provide support and advice

to enable the students excel in their studies.

iv. Evaluate academic progress of students, record findings and devise action plans where

necessary.

v. Manage the relationship with all key stakeholders both internally and externally and

maintain appropriate communication with them.

vi. Any other duty as may be assigned.
