Description
CURE International is seeking a Nurse Aid/Assistant.


Responsibilities
  1. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, provides hands-on care to patients admitted to the hospital.
  2. Maintains patient's stability by checking temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, height and weight.
  3. Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients’ calls and requests; and reporting observations of the patient to nursing on duty.
  4. Prepare, serve meals, and feed patients if necessary.
  5. Bathe and dress patients.
  6. Make beds and perform light housekeeping duties in the patient's room.
  7. Take patients for scheduled walks.
  8. Transport patients to/from operating rooms or other locations as necessary.
  9. Provide skin care.
  10. Set up equipment.
  11. Ensure that supply closets are stocked and cleaned.
  12. Observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report abnormal patterns to nursing staff.
  13. Observe and record fluid intake and output.
  14. Develop nurturing relationships with patients and their families.
  15. Empty bedpans and change dirty linens.
  16. Report violent behavior.
  17. Follow proper procedures for lifting and moving patients.
  18. Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records
