We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Pharmacy technician to join our team. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing patient counseling, and ensuring the accuracy of medication orders.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Pharmacy technician to join our team. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing patient counseling, and ensuring the accuracy of medication orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently
- Review prescriptions to ensure accuracy, completeness and appropriateness
- Provide medication therapy management and patient counseling
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Maintain accurate and complete records of medication orders and patient information
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
- Manage inventory and order medications as needed
- Participate in ongoing education and training programs to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pharmacy practice
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve any issues or concerns
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
- Active pharmacist license in good standing with the state board of pharmacy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing pharmacy practice
- Familiarity with pharmacy computer systems and technology
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Physical Demands:
- The ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- The ability to reach, bend, and stoop
- The ability to use a computer and other pharmacy technology
Working Conditions:
- This job may require working in a retail pharmacy, hospital, or other healthcare setting
- May require evening, weekend, or holiday shifts
- May require exposure to hazardous materials or infectious diseases
