You might be a strong candidate if you have/are
  • A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent Diploma/Certificate with extensive experience) in a relevant field, and 3+ years of serious program management experience.
  • Management Muscle: 4-5 years in a management role.
  • Project Management Prowess: PMP/PgMP certification – with the credentials to back it up.
  • A deep understanding of the development landscape and the problems we face.
  • Analytical Firepower: The ability to analyze data, solve complex problems.
  • Communication Mastery: Exceptional communication, people, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in English, top-notch report-writing skills, and ideally, fluency in a local language.
  • Willing to travel extensively (around 50% of your time) across the continent.


Responsibilities
  • Success architect: Partner with Country Representatives to develop and execute operational plans that deliver on our strategic vision.
  • Program excellence: Ensuring every program is delivered on time, within budget, and exceeds quality expectations.
  • Talent multiplier: Mentor and empower Country Program Managers/Associates, building a high-performing, team.
  • Budget Management: Managing project budgets, ensuring financial compliance, and maximizing our resources.
  • Data and impact-focused: Oversee monitoring and evaluation, using data to inform actions and clearly communicate our results.
  • Master connector: Building and maintaining strong relationships with government officials, communities, partners, and other stakeholders is crucial.
