Description
Qualifications & Experience
- OND in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Additional training or exposure in control systems engineering will be an added advantage
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in plant maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Practical knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and HMI programming, operation, and implementation.
- Working knowledge of industrial communication networks such as Profibus, Modbus, AS iBus, CANbus, and Industrial Ethernet
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and support industrial automation and instrumentation systems to ensure stable and efficient plant operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve faults on automation systems, including PLC hardware, I/O modules, field instruments, HMIs, and associated control panels.
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance, calibration, and routine inspections of instrumentation and control systems.
- Assist in PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming, configuration, and modifications for process optimization and plant improvement initiatives.
- Collect, collate, and record machine and process parameters for analysis and performance monitoring.
- Monitor automation system data and trends to support focused improvement and reliability initiatives.
- Provide technical support and basic training to operators and maintenance personnel on automation and instrumentation systems.
- Support commissioning, upgrades, and minor automation projects under the guidance of senior engineers
