Position Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and organised Marketing & Communication Assistant to support OSF Flavors Africa across three key areas: digital marketing and brand visibility, business development and commercial support, and marketing collateral and creative production.
The ideal candidate should be digitally fluent, commercially curious, and creative, someone who can manage social media, support the sales team with research and prospecting, and produce polished marketing materials that reflect the OSF Flavors brand.
Responsibilities
DIGITAL MARKETING -Content, Performance, Social Media & Brand Visibility
This pillar covers all aspects of OSF Flavors Africa's presence in the digital space; from day-to-day social media management to supporting paid campaigns and tracking brand visibility online.
Social Media Management & Growth
Plan, create, and publish content across OSF Flavors Africa's social media platforms .
Manage the content calendar to ensure consistent, timely, and on-brand posting.
Monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages, and actively grow the company's follower base and community.
Track and report monthly on key metrics: reach, impressions, engagement rate, and follower growth.
Assist in the development of compelling written and visual content that communicates OSF Flavors' flavor solutions, certifications, sustainability story and industry expertise.
Repurpose technical product information into digestible, audience-friendly social posts, captions and articles.
Stay current with food & beverage industry trends and content formats (Reels, carousels, short form video) to keep content fresh and relevant.
Use AI-assisted tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Canva AI, etc.) to improve content drafting speed and quality.
Brand Visibility & Performance Marketing:
Support the planning and execution of paid digital campaigns where applicable.
Monitor campaign performance (CTR, reach, conversions) and assist in preparing regular performance reports.
Assist with basic SEO efforts, that is, keyword research, meta descriptions, and content optimisation to improve the OSF Flavors website's visibility in African markets.
Identify digital visibility opportunities: industry directories, trade publications, online communities, and relevant partnerships.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & COMMERCIAL SUPPORT
Prospecting, Research & CRM
This pillar supports the commercial growth of OSF Flavors Africa by identifying prospects, mapping the market, and providing the sales team with structured, actionable intelligence.
Monitor relevant industry news, competitor activity, and emerging trends in African food & beverage markets.
Support the team in preparing for trade shows, industry events, and client meetings with relevant background research.
CRM & Contact Management
Build and maintain structured, up-to-date lists of leads, prospects, and industry contacts.
Assist in updating and organizing CRM records to ensure the commercial team has accurate, usable data.
Coordinate with the Sales and Laboratory teams to gather information needed for pitches, proposals, and client follow-ups.
MARKETING COLLATERAL & CREATIVE SUPPORT
Materials, Branding & Visual Communication
This pillar ensures the sales, laboratory, and management teams are equipped with professional, on brand materials that effectively communicate OSF Flavors' value proposition.
Marketing Materials Production
Design and prepare presentations, product sheets, brochures, flyers, and one-pagers for commercial and laboratory use.
Update and maintain a library of marketing support documents, ensuring content is current, accurate, and well-organized.
Translate complex technical or commercial information into clear, visually appealing, and professionally structured documents.
Brand Consistency
Ensure all materials adhere to OSF Flavors' brand guidelines, that is, typography, color, tone, and visual identity.
Standardize templates for recurring documents (pitch decks, sample request follow-ups, trade show materials).
Review materials produced across the Africa team and flag inconsistencies in branding or messaging.
Use Canva, Adobe Express, or similar tools to produce visually professional assets for both print and digital use.
Support email marketing campaigns with well-designed templates and content (newsletters, product launches, seasonal communications).
Assist in creating event materials for trade shows, exhibitions, and client visits.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Digital Media, or a related field.
2–3 years of experience in digital media buying, email marketing, and social media coordination.
Proficient in using CRM systems to track customer journeys, update lead information, and support marketing automation workflows.
Agile with digital tools: Google Workspace, Canva, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn, and AI productivity tools
Solid understanding of key digital platforms: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and Google Ads
Hands-on experience with Meta Business Manager and Google Ads Manager
Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite)
Intermediate knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Meta Insights, Google Analytics) and ability to interpret data
Excellent organizational and coordination skills, with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple requests across teams and meet deadlines
Clear and professional written and verbal communication is key
Proactive, reliable, and solutions-oriented team player
Strong written and spoken English; French or Swahili is an advantage given OSF's pan-African footprint
Detail-oriented, proactive, and willing to learn on the job
Genuine interest in food, flavors, health, sustainability, or the B2B industry is a plus
