Role Profile

  • The Business Development Manager provides business critical insights, strategy and direction using analytics, and ensures cross-functional alignment of goals and execution.
  • You stay focused on aligning customer acquisition, customer retention and revenue growth by consistently delivering strategies that convert an above market average ratio in the sales funnel to retained customers with above average lifetime values.
  • You will partner with the Strategy Office to shape the key priorities for the business, support strategic projects and manage / analyze sales operations metrics, as well as interface with Marketing and Marketing Ops team on key Go-To-Market (GTM) processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of Sales experience in Fintech, AgriTech, Healthcare, Telecoms, SaaS, OEM and/or IT Services.
  • Experience working with executive-level clients or stakeholders.
  • Account and Service Management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA.
  • Sales and/or marketing experience, and experience in structuring and implementing initiatives with sales teams.
  • Proven track record developing business and long-term client relations.
  • Broad Account and Service management experience, or broad experience developing and implementing bespoke sales strategies.
  • Proven ability to quickly establish relationships with executive-level managers and buyers of large corporations and agencies based on credibility, value, and trust.
  • Proven ability in managing complex services sales cycles from start to finish with a track record of successful service revenue and profitability attainment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Go-to-Market team and internal partners to develop strategic and sales operation plans to address short, medium, and long-term opportunities.
  • Lead and/or support strategic projects for the Nigeria team based on emerging, long-term, or immediate business needs.
  • Maintain current client relationship and identifying areas for potential clients.
  • Manage and execute internal projects to design, implement, and enhance business processes executed by or related to the Sales teams.
  • Collaborate with sales and design team to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals.
  • Develop new sales areas and improving sales through various methods.
  • Research the latest in the business industry and creating new opportunities to expand business.
