Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Engineering, Business, Science, Social Science or Related field
  • Masters in Business Administration
  • Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Chain (Member)

Relevant Experience & Functional / Technical Skills

  • Proven experience (8+ years) as a Sourcing/ Procurement Manager desirable in Technology industry or IT procurement
  • Strong ethical skills

Responsibilities

Procurement of IT Solutions, Hardware, Devices, SIM Cards and Services etc. both CAPEX and OPEX including Managed Services and AMCs. Ensure timely delivery of equipment and right quality

  • Releasing of RFI/RFQ/RFP for renewal of BPA/Rate contracts for IT Solutions, services, devices and Infrastructure items / equipment for the requirement of all over Airtel Networks Limited, Nigeria.
  • Analyzing the RFP responses, price and lead time negotiations & allocation of Business shares and necessary approvals from the management.
  • Releasing Opex POs quarterly before start of quarter.

Overall Cost analytics and program management for cost efficiency across business:

  • Overall spent analysis
  • Cost risk and forecast
  • Identifying cost efficiency opportunities
  • Working with functions to define and running the cost efficiency program
  • Operational and governance meetings
  • Detailed analysis and management reporting

Contract Development and Management

  • Initiating and signing off contracts for new vendors, and ensuring that all existing contracts are renewed in timely manner before they expires.
  • Awarding of rate contracts for IT equipment/services; controlling & monitoring the use of rate contracts

Vendor Management

  • Identifying and developing new vendors.
  • Periodic partner performance reviews & SLA monitoring of passive vendors.

Cost optimization of all passive related Projects.

  • Developing cost saving initiatives and collaborating with the user group in ensuring that all OPEX optimization strategies are implemented effectively through timely release of purchase order, contract renewal and release of payment.
  • Reduction of diesel purchase price and driving down diesel volume through working OPEX devises.

Administrative Management.

  • Managing the user group and Purchase Order creation team to raise PR
  • Creating Purchase Order and ensuring that PR and PO are approved on a timely manner.

Reporting

  • Providing relevant reports on a monthly basis to aid book closure.

Audit Score: Improvement of Internal Audit score

  • Ensuring compliance to the sourcing processes.
  • Assisting the Head of Sourcing in identifying and taking necessary corrections in gaps identified in internal control environment
