Description
  • HND / B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related fields
  • 4 - 6 years experience in automobile repair and maintenance, with 1 - 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, suspension, braking systems)
  • Experience using computerized diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily workshop activities and ensure timely completion of vehicle repairs and maintenance
  • Perform advanced diagnostics on mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems
  • Assign tasks to technicians and monitor work quality and productivity
  • Inspect completed jobs to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for various vehicle types
  • Troubleshoot complex faults in engines, transmissions, braking, suspension, and electrical systems
  • Maintain accurate service records, job cards, and maintenance logs
  • Ensure proper use of diagnostic tools and workshop equipment
  • Enforce HSE policies and maintain a safe working environment
  • Train and mentor junior technicians to improve skill levels and performance
  • Liaise with customers or service advisors to provide technical feedback and repair updates
  • Monitor inventory of spare parts and coordinate with procurement when necessary.
