Description
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Energy, Business, or a related field. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- Must have a minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience within the oil & gas, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
- Experience supporting upstream oil & gas projects or operations is highly desirable.
- Strong experience in project coordination, stakeholder management, and business development activities.
- Agile Project Management certification, PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management principles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within fast-paced environments.
- High level of professionalism, adaptability, and execution focus.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate upstream project activities from planning through execution and delivery.
- Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and progress tracking tools to support efficient project execution.
- Coordinate technical, commercial, procurement, logistics, HSE, and operational workstreams.
- Monitor project timelines, risks, budgets, and performance metrics to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support preparation of Expressions of Interest (EOIs), tenders, technical proposals, and commercial submissions.
- Identify and track upstream business opportunities within Kenya and the wider East African region.
- Coordinate project meetings, stakeholder engagements, and progress review sessions.
- Support partnership development with operators, contractors, and technical service providers.
- Ensure compliance with HSSEQ standards, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare project reports, dashboards, management updates, and executive presentations.
- Support budgeting, commercial evaluations, and operational planning activities.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, regulators, contractors, and internal teams.
- Promote continuous improvement, collaboration, and efficient project delivery practices.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned in support of business operations.
