Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the following disciplines: Business, Commerce, Health Care Management, Health Economics, Health Systems Management, Nursing, Pharmacy, Supply Chain Management, or any other related field from a recognized institution;
  • Master’s Degree in the following disciplines: Business, Health Economics, Supply Chain Management or another relevant field;
  • Membership to a professional body where applicable. Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

Experience

  • A minimum period of ten (10) years in relevant work experience and at least three (3) years in a Supervisory position in the Public Service or Private Sector;

  • Ensuring the HPT supply chain processes are supporting sound financial practices and operational efficiencies.
  • Developing the supply chain budget with regular monitoring of actual expenditure against forecast and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Managing of inventory assets and controls; annual count/cycle counting
  • Coordinate supply planning through forecasting and preparation of procurement plans;
  • Providing oversight on inventory planning, forecasting, minimum order quantity, obsolete inventory strategy
  • Developing and review the HPT inventory management policy on a periodic basis
  • Ensuring accurate inventory management of HPT supply plan, schedule receipts;
  • Overseeing market research to inform procurement strategies
  • Ensuring levelling of warehouse and distribution resources to meet customer requirements
  • Leading cross functional projects across the business to effectively drive improvements in logistics costs and service delivery
  • Monitoring and evaluating key performance indicators in HPT planning and market research to ensure that customer/stakeholder requirements and supply chain metrics are met.
