To help us achieve this mission, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to strengthen our Kenya Sales Team.


What you’ll do

As a BDM, you are autonomous and focused on creating processes for acquiring the largest and most innovative clients across key verticals to fuel our rapid growth. We enable a lot of freedom, support and guidance for you to run your sales activities to ensure results are delivered.


This role is highly strategic and necessitates experienced SaaS sales professionals who
have a talent for navigating complex organizations and executive level conversations. Communicating the value, ROI and benefits of what an omnichannel communication model, attached to robust customer data, does for our customers is essential. Your feedback will be important for market-fit, market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs and opportunities to deliver greater value to potential and existing customers by extending CM.com’s solutions.


CM.com provides Conversational commerce services from its cloud platform. Commercial commerce is the intersection of using social messaging apps and shopping via mobile
devices. We are official Business Solution Provider for the global social messaging market leaders and operates between tech-giants and enterprise organizations providing communication platform solutions. We help organizations successfully use next generation communication channels for interaction with their customers.


You will collaborate cross functional and work closely together with your – international
- sales colleagues (Marketing and Sales Development Representatives, Customer Success Managers and Account Managers) with Product, Marketing and Development.


In addition to these activities, you are mainly concerned with:

  • Create and execute a go-to-market plan for the Kenya and East Africa enterprise market.

  • Interacting with new clients, preferably Tier1 organizations via phone, social media channels, email, or face-to-face;

  • Organize (online) demo’s and meetings to help customers during the education phase;

  • Building a sustainable sales pipeline;

  • Use our CRM (Salesforce) as your friend and keep it up to date so that it can guide you along the way;

  • Attending relevant sales events and congresses.


What you offer

  • Bachelor’s degree in preferably a commercial direction;

  • Minimum of 5-8 years’ relevant working experience in new business sales, in a B2B environment;

  • Proven track record in sales achievements (closing deals);

  • Commercial experience in the SaaS industry is a big plus, but not necessary;

  • Excellent communication skills;

  • Outstanding closing and convincing skills;

  • Experience in an international working environment

  • Availability: full time.
