Description
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in medical laboratory sciences from a recognized university
- Registered and licensed by the KMLTTB
- Completed at least a six (6) internship from a level 6 hospital
- Progressive work experience of between 2-3 years in a busy laboratory
- Computer Literacy
- Have training in quality management systems (QMS), specifically ISO 15189:2022 and awarded with a certificate
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine medical examination to the staff members as guided by the clinical Officer
- Ensure provision of quality and reliable medical laboratory services
- Ensure adequate maintenance of laboratory equipment by facilitating scheduled servicing and planned preventive maintenance(PPM)
- Act as the liason officer in matters pertaining to the running of the medical laboratory
- Ensure that all medical laboratory equipment are adequately calibrated
- Ensure that the laboratory maintains the operational standards as guided by the KMLTTB
- Ensure availability of laboratory reagents and consumables
- Ensure safety of patients and clients when in the laboratory
