Requirements
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Diploma or above.
• Corrosion and protection, Material Chemistry or the related.
Experience
• At least 5 years of experience
• At least 3 similar experiences working in international projects
Knowledge
• Coating management, coating inspection, coating monitoring
• Minimum Certificate of Registered Supervision Engineer or equivalent
• Extensive knowledge of construction, installation, and commissioning.
• Extensive knowledge of safety in the oil and gas industry.
• Participate in the writing of Verification & Control Activity Report (VCAR), defining Scope of work & budget on coating subject.
• If needed, carry out inspection of installation & commissioning activities as per approved coating procedure.
• Supervision of sandblasting and paint application following approved methodology and the applicable standard.
• Must be able to work with foremen, supervisors, and administrative staff to manage the implementation and/or continuance of safe work practices, operations, and overall function of the facility.
• Ability to recognize and evaluate weld discontinuities, areas of improvement, and other weaknesses in all products.
• Ability to perform tests and measurements on products and should be able to read drawings.
• Ensure the integrity and traceability of all associated painting and insulation activities including blasting, coating, and curing, weatherproof jacket installation etc.
• Verify that all vessels, tanks, and other product lines comply with all relevant coating quality standards and regulations (i.e. ASME and API, NACE etc.).
• Review and approve all related procedures, reports and records of painting & insulation including surface preparation, internal and external coating and inspection, insulation material handling, installation etc.
• Witness and supervise all activities such as insulation surface preparation, binding and covering etc. based on the related procedures, design requirements and applicable codes etc.
