  • Experience using digital data collection tools (especially Kobo Toolbox/ODK)
  • Strong understanding of field research ethics and data quality standards
  • Familiarity with youth livelihoods, agriculture (poultry, piggery, fish farming), or TVET programs is an added advantage
  • Experience working in Busoga region (especially Jinja/Kamuli) is highly desirable

  • Good teamwork and professionalism
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for mobile data collection devices

Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of the MEAL team, the Data Collectors will:

  • Support facilitation of Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with youth in wage and self-employment
  • Ensure accurate, complete, and timely data collection and submission
  • Obtain informed consent from all respondents and uphold ethical research standards
  • Ensure proper handling of devices and maintain data confidentiality and security
  • Follow daily fieldwork plans and meet assigned interview targets (approximately 4–6 interviews per day)
