Job Summary: Our client Is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Store Clerk. The Store Clerk will play a crucial role in maintaining our inventory, ensuring the availability of essential supplies, and contributing to

the smooth operation of our restaurant. This position is vital to maintaining quality standards and efficiency in our food service. 



Qualification & Experience

  • Previous experience as a store clerk, inventory manager, or in a similar role is preferred but not required

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Basic computer skills for order placement and inventory tracking.

  • Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy items and stand for extended periods.


Education

  • Diploma in procurement management preferred.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

  • Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.

  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy items.

  • Knowledge of food safety and storage guidelines.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs.

  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food items, beverages, supplies, and equipment. Track stock levels and reorder supplies as needed to prevent shortages.

  • Receiving and Storing: Receive deliveries of food, beverages, and other restaurant supplies.

    Properly store items in designated areas, ensuring proper rotation and organization.

  • Quality Control: Inspect incoming items for quality and accuracy, and report any discrepancies or

    issues to the management.

  • Ordering: Place orders with suppliers to replenish stock. Compare prices and negotiate deals to obtain the best value for the restaurant.

  • Organization: Keep storage areas clean and well-organized, following food safety and health

    regulations. Label and date items to ensure proper rotation and freshness.

  • Waste Reduction: Minimize waste by tracking product expiration dates, using the first-in, first-out

    (FIFO) method, and implementing effective storage practices.

  • Reporting: Maintain records of inventory levels, orders, and expenses. Provide regular reports to

    management regarding inventory status and any notable trends.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff and other restaurant team members to ensure smooth operations and efficient communication regarding inventory needs.
