Job Summary:

Our client sells the finest alcohol at wholesale & and retail prices. The depot manager will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of a depot or warehouse facility and optimizing the depot's performance to meet organizational goals and

customer satisfaction.
Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a
    related field (preferred).

  • CPA
  • Experience

    • Proven experience in depot or warehouse management, with a track record of achieving operational goals.


  • Background of finance



  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities

    • Strong leadership and team management skills.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

    • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance in warehousing and transportation.

    • Proficiency in using inventory management software and other relevant tools.

    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

    • Budget management experience is a plus.

    • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma principles is an advantage.

    • Maintain accurate inventory records and implement inventory control procedures.

  • Monitor stock levels and reorder products as needed to prevent stock outs or overstock
    situations.

  • Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory to minimize damage and loss.

  • Logistics and Distribution:

    • Plan and coordinate the transportation and distribution of goods to meet customer
      demands.

  • Optimize routing and scheduling to reduce transportation costs and improve delivery
    efficiency.

  • Collaborate with transportation providers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.

  • Team Leadership:

    • Recruit, train, and manage depot staff, including supervisors, warehouse workers, and
      drivers.

  • Set performance expectations, conduct performance evaluations, and provide coaching
    and feedback.

  • Foster a positive and safe work environment, emphasizing teamwork and adherence to
    company policies.

  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Implement safety protocols and ensure that all staff members adhere to safety regulations.

  • Stay updated on regulatory requirements related to the storage and transportation of
    goods and ensure compliance.

  • Conduct regular safety training and drills for depot personnel.

  • Cost Control:

    • Develop and manage the depot's budget, ensuring efficient resource utilization.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce operational
    expenses.

  • Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.

  • Customer Service:

    • Collaborate with customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely
    manner.

  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by meeting service level agreements.

  • Maintenance and Equipment:

    • Oversee the maintenance and repair of depot equipment, such as forklifts, trucks, and
      storage facilities.

  • Schedule regular inspections to ensure equipment reliability and safety.

  • Reporting and Analysis:

    • Generate reports on depot performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and
      metrics.

  • • Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for efficiency
    gains.
  • Develop and implement action plans based on analysis results.
  • Vendor and Supplier Management:
    • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries of goods and resolve issues.
    • Negotiate supplier contracts and terms to optimize procurement processes.
