  • B.Sc/HND in Accounting, Economics or Finance
  • OND with ATS or ICAN / ACCA Part qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience.

Set Skills:

  • Proven experience as a mid level accountant.
  • Excellent organizing abilities.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen.
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant accounting software
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills 
  • Knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting

Job Description

  • Posts and processes journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
  • Updates accounts receivable and issue invoices
  • Updates accounts payable and performs reconciliations
  • Daily review of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statement
  • Produces error-free accounting reports and present their results
  • Assists with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
  • Updates financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
  • Petty cash management
  • Ensures good document management
  • Ensure monthly statutory employee deduction and remittance
  • Inventory management and control
  • Prepare monthly depreciation schedule
  • Preparation of all accounting schedule 
  • Spots errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
  • Participates in financial standards setting and in forecast process
  • Prepares financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
  • Assists with tax audits and tax returns
  • Supports month-end and year-end close process
  • Perform any other assigned roles.
