Job Description

Speedy Chui Africa Limited is a technology-driven logistics company currently in the setup phase, building an automated parcel delivery network across Nairobi ahead of our go-live on 1st June. Our operations will use Automated Parcel Machines (APMs), secure smart lockers placed across the city that allow customers to send and receive parcels conveniently without direct human interaction.

We are hiring founding team members who will play a critical role in establishing and scaling our operations from day one.

We are building a disciplined, high-performance operations team to support this network.


About the Role

We are seeking highly disciplined and reliable drivers to execute daily delivery and collection routes across Nairobi.

In this role, you will not only transport parcels but also operate Automated Parcel Machines (APMs). This includes collecting parcels from lockers, depositing shipments, and ensuring the machines are clean and presentable. Any faults or malfunctions must be reported promptly to your immediate supervisor.


Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute scheduled milk-run routes across Nairobi with consistency and precision
  • Service approximately 20 APM locations daily within defined timelines
  • Collect parcels from APM lockers and deliver parcels to designated APMs
  • Accurately scan and update parcel movements in real time
  • Operate APM systems (locker access and parcel handling)
  • Perform basic APM checks (cleanliness and reporting faults or issues to the immediate supervisor)
  • Ensure secure handling and transportation of parcels
  • Maintain assigned company vehicle to high standards


Qualifications & Competencies

1. Education & Documentation

  • KCSE minimum grade C (Plain)
  • Diploma in Logistics, Business, or a related field (mandatory)
  • Valid Kenyan driving license (Class B, C, or BCE)
  • Certificate of Good Conduct (required)
  • Clean driving record with no major traffic violation.

2. Experience

  • Min 3–5 years’ experience in structured courier, logistics, or secure transport operations
  • Experience in reputable organisations is strongly preferred
  • Proven experience driving vans in a professional environment

3. Technical & Operational Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Nairobi Metropolitan road network
  • Proficiency in Google Maps and digital navigation tools
  • Ability to use mobile apps, scanners, or ERP systemsfor parcel updates
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle checks and maintenance
  • Ability to follow structured routes and SOP-driven processes

4. Core Competencies

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • High level of discipline and reliability
  • Strong sense of responsibility, safety, and parcel care
  • Strong time management and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Customer-focused with strong communication skills (English & Kiswahili; local languages
    an advantage)
  • Professional, honest, and reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Physically fit to lift and move parcels as required
  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, or extended hours as needed
