Description

Job description: The Legal Assistant is responsible for the administrative and procedural management of personal injury case files. You will act as a primary point of contact for clients, medical providers, and insurance adjusters, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and deadlines are strictly met to move cases toward resolution.


Skills:

Experience: Ideally 1 year of experience in as Legal assistant or similar role. Education: High school diploma required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is often preferred. Must have great communication skills in English. Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with case management software (e.g., Needles, TrialWorks, or similar) is a plus. Traits: High attention to detail, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a "client-first" attitude. Language: Being bilingualEnglish


Responsibilities

Responsabilities: Case Management: Maintain organized electronic and physical files from intake through settlement or litigation. Client Communication: Serve as a compassionate liaison for clients, providing regular updates on case status and gathering necessary information. Medical Records & Bills: Order, track, and summarize medical records and billing statements to build the case's evidence profile. Document Preparation: Draft and proofread legal correspondence, demand letters, and basic pleadings (e.g., shells for motions or discovery). Calendaring & Deadlines: Manage attorney schedules, including depositions, hearings, and mediations; ensure all court-mandated deadlines are tracked. E-Filing: Handle electronic filings in both state and federal courts. Insurance Liaison: Communicate with insurance adjusters regarding claims, liability, and coverage details.
