Requirments
Master’s degree in Radiology from a recognized institution.
• Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree (MBChB) from a recognized institution.

• Must be registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Council and hold a

valid practicing licence.

• Minimum of 3 years practicing experience in Radiology


Responsibilities
• Evaluate patients’ medical histories to identify potential risks from imaging procedures;
recommend alternative techniques where appropriate.

• Explain imaging processes to patients and address relevant requirements.

• Perform and interpret x-ray, ultrasound, mammogram, CT and MRI examinations,

providing technical guidance for diagnosis and treatment.

• Guide radiology staff in image-guided diagnostic procedures per established protocols.

• Interpret diagnostic imaging results to determine accurate diagnoses.

• Discuss findings and diagnoses with referring physicians.

• Compile diagnostic reports on test results.

• Respond to emergency situations (e.g., resuscitations, bleeding, infections) in line with

medical protocols.

• Participate in radiology-related research and departmental protocol

development/review.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
