Advisor Monitoring & Evaluation and Communications (Tanzanian Nationals)

education work, the ‘Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit’
(GIZ) GmbH is dedicated to shaping a future worth living around the world. The
GIZ programme "Employment Promotion for Women for the Green Transformation
in Africa" (WE4D) aims to create jobs for women and support sustainable
and inclusive economic growth in Tanzania through the promotion of green and
circular economy initiatives. WE4D focuses on sectors with significant
potential for employment impacts for women while contributing to a
climate-friendly economy. These sectors include renewable energy, circular
economy, waste management, sustainable agriculture, aquaculture, and
eco-tourism.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Advice M&E and Communications

·
Maintaining and updating of a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system
with a high emphasis on quantitative targets developing and implementing M&E
plans for each project

·
Coordinating data collection and analysis with third party service
providers and project partners, quality assurance/quality control of data and
data analysis

·
Preparing comprehensive monitoring visit reports with the real findings
from field; contributing relevant data and analysis to reporting

·
Writing impact stories

·
Supervising development and update of communication plan and tools

·
Quality assurance of WE4D Tanzania communication products

·
Social Media communications for WE4D Tanzania.

Management

·
Management for specific projects, contract management, project oversight
and quality

·
assurance to ensure project activities are in line with agreed objectives

·
Engagement with the procurement department and advice to project partners
on relevant topics

·
Close technical and management also guidance of third-party service
providers project

Other/additional tasks

·
Ensure periodic knowledge sharing, capacity development and sensitization
within the team and cluster

·
Take on additional responsibilities and activities as needed, showcasing
your versatility and commitment to the programme’s success.

Qualifications and Professional
Experience

Education & Professional
Experience

· Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in
social sciences, economics, communications or degree or equivalent in a
relative subject (business administration, economics, statistics, project
management, or other relevant disciplines)

· 3 years of relevant professional
experience in international development cooperation

· 3 years relevant professional
experience in communications or PR

Specialized Experience

· Thorough knowledge of M&E
systems and concepts, including the use of digital tools

· Proven experience in data
collection, analysis, and other M&E-related tasks

· Good working knowledge of
information and communication technologies and related

· Experience in writing reports for
donors

· Knowledge of Gender and Employment
topics

· Experience in facilitation and
moderation of interactive sessions

Interpersonal & Cultural Skills

Language
proficiency: Fluent in Swahili and English, with excellent communication skills
