Qualifications and Professional Requirements:
a) Master of Science (MSc), Master of Arts or Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field;
b) Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or any other related field;
c) Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (K) (mandatory qualification), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification and be a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants and in good standing;
d) Have at least ten (15) years of experience four (5) of which should have been served as Chief Accountant or Deputy Chief Finance Officer or its equivalent in the public sector;
e) Leadership/Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
f) Have demonstrated outstanding qualities of leadership, and coordination and organizational capabilities at top management level;
g) Provide evidence of information communication technology skills;
h) Experience of working in a fast-paced and busy environment with competing demands on time and resources;
i) Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
j) Demonstrated professional Competencies and administrative capability.
