  • Smooth Running of Daily Bookshop Transactions
  • To undertake the accurate processing of sales of bookshop merchandise through the correct use of the POS (Point of Sale) system.
  • To accurately undertake the check of daily floats and reconciliation of the daily takings.
  • To ensure the security of stock, keys and cash, maintaining continual visual
  • surveillance at all times, reporting any event of or intention to theft/vandalism/malicious damage or violence to the Bookshop Manager or Supervisor immediately.
  • To undertake administrative and clerical duties for the efficient running of the
  • Bookshop, including maintaining accurate documentation relating to customer orders, accounts, stock orders, stock returns,stock take.
  • To be responsible for opening and closing the bookshop as required. Information
  • To provide excellent customer service, offering visitors information and advice about the bookshop’s services and answering enquiries in person, by phone or in writing.
  • To proactively seek out opportunities to talk and engage with visitors, sharing your own sense of enthusiasm and passion for our work with our visitors and encouraging them to experience Arnolfini’s programme.
  • To maintain the tidiness and order of all stock ensuring that alphabetical order adhered to.
  • Be present and alert to ensure the health and safety and comfort of visitors.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of HND / Degree
  • 1 year experience.
