Qualifications

  • Clear understanding of Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • Excellent telephone skills the ability to handle client complaints.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent command of the English language (both written and verbal).
  • Proven ability to build effective, long-term relationships with clients.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and a demonstrated ability to use own initiative.
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Forwarding/Clearing Industry
  • Education Qualification - Matric
Responsibilities
  • Execute business development plans and processes to achieve targeted customer growth and retention rate, revenue targets and budgets
  • Deliver projects and initiatives to develop new business and maximize exposure for DPDHL amongst targeted prospects
  • Undertake market studies and feasibility studies to assess market potential and analyze target groups
  • Prospect new business development opportunities through market research, developing marketing initiatives, etc.
  • Initiate contact with targeted prospects, identify decision makers and work to understand strategic business challenges and priorities.
  • Identify prospective customer needs and matches these with DHL’s services.
  • Develop leads, conduct pre-proposal visitations, prepare difficult proposals and conduct negotiations to close.
  • Maintain and build relationships with prospects and potential key accounts including prospects’ highest buying levels and coordinate the activities of prospect-focused teams.

Stakeholders

  • Connect with and influence other specialist departments and 3rd parties e.g. external service providers.
  • May convince others to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
  • Build strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with DPDHL managers.
