About Fuzu
Join us in reshaping the future of work—where borders no longer limit opportunity or excellence.
We are seeking an experienced Italian–English Linguist Specialist for a 6-month project supporting a client initiative focused on training and improving autocomplete and autocorrect capabilities.
You will work directly with the client’s Product, Engineering, Research, and other cross-functional teams, serving as a linguistic subject-matter expert throughout the project.
This is a highly autonomous role with limited day-to-day program management oversight. As a result, we are looking for someone who combines strong linguistic expertise with excellent communication, time management, and client-facing skills.
Project Duration: 6 months
Working Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST
Client Meetings: Mandatory daily meetings from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM PST, with camera on
Payment: Monthly, against submitted invoices
Contracting Arrangement: This is a project-based independent engagement. You must have an established legal/business entity through which you can contract and submit monthly invoices to Fuzu for the duration of the project.
Start: Immediate, following successful completion of the selection process
Language Proficiency: Native or bilingual proficiency in both Italian and English, including speaking, writing, reading, and comprehension.
Linguistic Expertise: Strong linguistic knowledge with the ability to identify subtle language patterns, structural issues, and inconsistencies.
Analytical Skills: Ability to review and validate language datasets and assess outputs from both a linguistic and end-user perspective.
Communication Skills: Ability to clearly explain complex linguistic concepts and analytical findings to both technical and non-linguistic stakeholders.
Task Management: Proven ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, manage time independently, and consistently meet project deadlines.
Proactive Collaboration: Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to flagging workload constraints, risks, or blockers before they affect deadlines.
Client-Facing Confidence: Comfortable working directly with client teams, contributing to discussions, and presenting during camera-on meetings.
Nice to Have: Experience with prompt engineering is an advantage, but not required. Training and guidance will be provided.
The selection process is designed to be straightforward and efficient:
- A short introductory interview to discuss the opportunity, confirm your availability and engagement setup, and answer any questions.
- CV review.
- Interview with the client.
Successful candidates should be prepared to start immediately after completing the selection process.
