OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
- Reporting to the Radiology Manager, the successful candidate will ensure provision of effective, efficient, and quality imaging (Ultrasound and Xray) services in the hospital.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive, process, undertake initial patient evaluation and provide diagnostic radiographs.
- Perform, provide findings on ultrasound and Doppler examinations by capturing images of diagnostic value.
- Ensure radiation safety measures and protection are observed to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety for patients, staff, and self.
- Ensure scheduled maintenance, and calibration of medical equipment are in place and followed.
- Ensure accurate documentation and care of patients’ records.
The requirements
- Higher National Diploma in Ultrasound from a recognized institution.
- Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences or bachelor’s degree in Radiography.
- Two (2) years’ working experience in a similar position.
- Registered and licensed by the Kenya Nuclear Radiological Authority.
- Member of professional body preferably SORK.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent record-keeping skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
