We are on the mission to bring down the cost of everyday living across Africa. We are very early stage and in stealth mode but have already raised a $2.5M+ pre-seed round from leading global VCs and built a small, rock-star team. We are launching the MVP of our product which will enable B2C customers to purchase low-cost everyday essentials online in an innovative way. We strongly believe this will change the distribution landscape across Africa - and more importantly, materially increase disposable income for consumers.

Overview of the role:

To be able to pass as much saving to the customer as possible, we will need to lower our purchase price from partners and maintain attractive market pricing. It is a dynamic, fast-paced role that will require building partnerships with suppliers, managing price points in the market, working with the growth teams to expand the FMCG business, and constantly optimizing the end-to-end value chain.


In this role, you will:

  • Design and implement a mid-term plan for fresh products, including suppliers, procurement, forecasting, warehousing and distribution

  • Be in charge of managing the day-to-day operations with suppliers (training, onboarding, inventory management, replenishment, etc.)

  • Set up direct strategic sourcing relationship with medium-size farms for key crops

  • Support the growth team to expand our FMCG business in the market


We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a deep understanding of end to end FMCG value chain, ideally in Kenya

  • Has good communication and negotiation skills and can build long term win-win partnerships

  • Most importantly, has a strong motivation to help Kenyans get access to high quality produce at a low cost
