Description
- Process customer payments via cash, POS, and other approved payment channels
- Issue receipts and maintain accurate transaction records
- Perform daily cash balancing and reconciliation of all transactions
- Monitor and report discrepancies in payments or financial records
- Maintain proper documentation of sales and payment activities
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and promptly
- Work closely with the sales team to confirm completed transactions
- Safeguard cash and POS equipment at all times
- Support basic administrative and reporting tasks related to store finances
- Ensure compliance with internal financial procedures and controls
Requirements
- Minimum of SSCE (OND/HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field is an added advantage)
- Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and financial record-keeping
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar financial role is an advantage
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good integrity and ability to handle cash responsibly
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer use
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
