Description

We are looking for a Payroll Tax Associate to support payroll tax compliance and processing activities within the PEO industry. This role focuses on federal, state, and local payroll tax filings, reconciliations, audits, and resolution of tax notices, while delivering excellent service to clients.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Payroll, Tax, or related roles.
  • PEO or related industry experience (preferred).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • FPC certification (preferred).


Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, process, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax returns.
  • Process payroll tax payments, filings, and reconciliations via e-file and EFT.
  • Research payroll tax laws and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Resolve payroll tax notices and discrepancies, maintaining accurate case documentation.
  • Assist with audits and coordinate with internal teams on new projects or clients.
  • Provide high-quality customer support related to payroll tax inquiries.
