Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Registered and licensed by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
  • Valid practicing license.
  • Completion of internship training.
  • At least one (1) year of post-internship clinical experience will be an added advantage.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients in outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and specialized care settings.
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans in accordance with established clinical guidelines and best practices.
  • Perform medical procedures within the scope of practice and competence.
  • Participate in ward rounds, clinical audits, mortality and morbidity reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records and clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with consultants, nurses, allied health professionals, and other healthcare workers in patient management.
  • Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families.
  • Participate in emergency call duties, outreach programs, and community health initiatives as assigned.
  • Support the training and mentorship of medical students, interns, and other healthcare trainees.
  • Contribute to research, innovation, and evidence-based clinical practice.
  • Adhere to professional, ethical, legal, and regulatory standards governing medical practice.
