Requirements

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Records and Information Management (BRIM)

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Library and Information Science (BLIS)
  • Bachelors’ Degree in Records and Archives Management (BRAM)

  • At least three (3) years’ experience at the level of Assistant Medical Records Officer.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Records and Archives Management (BRAM)

  • At least three (3) years’ experience at the level of Assistant Medical Records Officer.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Initiate and participate in research activities.
  • Manage and account for allocated resources.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Ensure that records on patients are received, documented, classified and stored
  • Periodically audit records and records systems
  • Ensure confidentiality and safety of records
  • Avail records/information on patients to authorized persons and observe control of access to records/information by unauthorized persons
  • Ensure that essential equipment and other supplies are available
  • Promote observance of the professional Codes of Conduct and Ethics by staff under him or her
  • Plan, budget, manage, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate medical records activities in the Hospital
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports to the Senior Medical Records Officer.
