Description


This cadre is responsible for operations and maintenance of power plants and their auxiliaries, control room operations, electrical equipment maintenance, instrumentation and power system protection.

Qualification and Experience

  1. Must be a holder of O-level certificate KCSE
  2. Diploma in Electrical/Electronics, Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution and a final certificate from the national examining body ( KNEC ) issued in the last 3 years .
  3. Must be Prepared to serve anywhere in any of the business areas in Kenya


Responsibilities
  1. carrying out scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance on electrical equipment
  2. carrying out calibration of all electrical monitoring equipment
  3. installing, testing and commissioning new or refurbished plant equipment and systems
  4. carrying out regular safety inspections; interpreting technical drawings as per work requirement
  5. carrying out diagnostics and troubleshooting of faults of the plant and auxiliaries
