The Business Development Officer will be responsible for supporting the Head of Business Development in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. This includes conducting market research, building relationships with potential clients, and assisting in the development of sales strategies to achieve company growth objectives.


Responsibilities
The Business Development Officer will be responsible for supporting the Head of Business Development in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. This includes conducting market research, building relationships with potential clients, and assisting in the development of sales strategies to achieve company growth objectives.


Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Conduct market research to identify potential clients and market trends.

2. Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients through various communication channels, such as phone, email, and in-person meetings.

3. Assist in the development of sales strategies and plans to achieve business development targets.

4. Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations to potential clients.

5. Collaborate with internal teams to gather and analyze data for sales forecasting and market analysis purposes.

6. Stay updated with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to identify new opportunities.

7. Track and report on sales activities, including pipeline management and revenue projections.

 

Minimum Requirements:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

- Experience: At least 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.

-Knowledge of insurance products is a must.

 

Skills & Knowledge:

  - Strong communication and negotiation skills.

  - Proficient in building and maintaining client relationships.

  - Excellent research and analytical abilities.

  - Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies.

  - Familiarity with market research and analysis.

  - Result-oriented mindset and ability to meet targets.

 

Professional Qualification: Any relevant professional certification or designation in business development or insurance would be a plus.
